A high smile line – a smile that reveals more gum tissue than is desired – is referred to in our industry as a “gummy smile”. Many people believe that a gingivectomy, an expensive procedure that involves removal of excess gum tissue, is the only way to correct this. However, with a small, specifically-placed, dose of Botox®Cosmetic or Dysport to the muscles that lift the upper lip, your nurse injector can correct this for a fraction of the cost of surgery.  Like any neuromodulator treatment, it will take a few days to take effect and will gradually wear off the same way your other neuromodulators do.

If “gummy smile” is something that bothers you, ask your nurse injector about this treatment at your next TOC Medical Spa appointment.
